Clear Christmas Cards in a Box Class

Hello December!!!  Can't believe that this is my first post in December.  I had been sooo very busy the last few weeks trying to finish up all my Stamp Club Meetings and classes early so that I can tend to personal stuff before Christmas is here.  So, Friday was my last club meeting and now I am able to post again.

Today I want to share with you the Clear Christmas Cards in a Box Class that I offered the last week of November.  It was a big hit!  I was actually so surprised at how many people signed up to take the class.  The class comes with 6 Clear Cards, 6 matching envelopes and the box.  I charged $25 for the class if it was pre-paid or $30 at the door.   Just a warning...this post will be picture heavy so keep scrolling down!

I used the Treat Box that you can find on the Clearance Rack, cut the top off and made the lid for it using cardstock and Letters To Santa Designer Series Paper.

Card 5

Card 6
I used the Window Sheets for the cards and also taught different techniques like how to color the rhinestones, dry embossing with the Big Shot, Embossing with the heat gun, using Smooch spray, distressing and a lot of other cool stuff.

I am taking a break from classes in December but will be back for more classes in January.  Hope you like what I shared with you today!

Thanksgiving Wreath

Today's project is a labor of love.  My friend and I got together to re-create the wreath from the Holiday Mini Catalog and what we thought was an easy project to do, turned out to be a 4 day project, well, at least 4 hours per day.  I love love love the way it turned out though and I am glad that I had a friend to craft with while making this project because I probably would have given up finishing it if I was doing it by myself.

Like I said on my last post, I have been using the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper a lot lately and this is another project made with it.  I think this is the first time I have used a DSP this much.  I usually just hoard them :-)

Of course I had to put my own touch to my wreath so I put some butterflies all over it.  I really love the way it turned out.  I hope you do too!

Simply Scored Class

Last month, I offered my customers a deal for a Simply Scored Class.  If they bought the Simply Scored from me, the class fee was only for $5 (just to cover supplies) but if they weren't interested in buying the Simply Scored and still wanted to take the class, the fee was $12.  I had a few people take me up on my offer and today I want to share with you the cards that we made at the class.

I am currently IN LOVE with the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Mini Catalog and I just can't stop using it.  I am also loving the Pool Party and Soft Suede colors.  I think they are soooo pretty!  I got the card idea with the Dahlia Fold from Stampin' Connection and the step cards were my original design.  The Step Cards are 3x3 cards and having the Simply Scored Tool just made it soooo easy to make.  I also used a whole lot of Basic Pearls for these cards.  They just made the cards look a little more elegant.

Supplies Used For This Project:

Paper: Pool Party, Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, More Mustard, Very Vanilla Cardstock and Spice Cake Designer Series Paper

Ink:  Pool Party, Soft Suede and More Mustard

Accessories:  Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Big Shot Machine, Finial Press Embossing Folder, Paper Cutter, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Circle Punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Victoria 5/8" Crochet Trim Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Snail Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals

Stamp Sets:  Teeny Tiny Wishes and It's A Wrap Holidays

Case-ing Twila Davis

I want to share with you a CASE of a card that I received as a swap from my friend and  fellow Ustamp Designer Twila Davis.  I had the chance to meet her at the Stampin' Up Convention in July and she is such a sweet and awesome person.  She is so talented and I love all her projects.  If you get a chance, please visit her blog and check out her stuff!

The only thing I changed about Twila's original card was the popped up butterfly and the greeting in the middle.  Other than that, I left everything just the way she originally designed it.  I used this card for one of my clubs in July.

Supplies Used For This Project:

Paper: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery, Marina Mist, Whisper White

Ink:  Melon Mambo

Accessories:  Big Shot Machine, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Butterfly Punch, Large Oval Punch, Certainly Celery 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (Retired), Basic Rhinestones, Snail Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals

Stamp Sets:  Petite Pairs

To order all the supplies you need for this card, please visit my online store  for your 24/7 shopping convenience.

July Club Card

Today's card is a card that I made for one of my Stamp Club for the month of July.  It is a CASE from the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog.  You can find it on page 98.  I didn't have all of the stamp sets used for the card so I changed it a bit using 2 of the newest Sizzix embossing folders.  I really love the new Idea Book  & Catalog not only because of the stamps and accessories in it but also for all the great samples.

Supplies Used For This Project:

Paper: Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Lucky Limeade

Ink:  Wisteria Wonder, Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso

Accessories:  Big Shot Machine, Stripes Embossing Folder, Houndstooth Embossing Folder, Scallops Squares Duo Die, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Paper Snips, Itty Bitty Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Snail Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals

Stamp Sets:  Printed Petals and Petite Pairs

Open House Make & Take

I've been a very bad blogger lately.  I've neglected my blog yet again.  I went to the Stampin' Up Convention and life had been so crazy busy ever since I got back.  So now, I will have to play catch up.  I will be posting some pictures from Convention really soon so please watch out for them.

As soon as I came back, I had an Open House to share with my customers all of the swap cards that I got from Convention.  Today, I want to show you the make & take that I made with all the attendees.  It is a 3 x 3 card.  I wanted to keep it simple because I just wanted to show them a technique.  I wanted to show them how to make the little rosettes using the Stampin' Up Scallop Circle Punch.  We also used the Illuminate Top Coat Smooch on top of the rosettes to give it some sparkles.

Supplies Used For This Project:

Paper:  Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Pretty In Pink, Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade

Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink

Accessories:  1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Paper Snips, Decorative Label Punch, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Illuminate Top Coat Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink, Snail Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals

Stamp Sets:  Four Frames, Flower Fest, Fabulous Phrases

Thank You for stopping by my blog....

Teacher's Thank You Gifts

Today was my kids' last day of school.  Yesterday we gave their teachers a little something to thank them for what they have done for the kids the past year.  Both my kids' teachers are leaving the school this year and they will definitely be missed.

We bought them each a bouquet of flowers and I put it in a vase for them.  I let the kids pick the colors of the flowers and their teachers loved them.

I want to share with you the card I made for them with the gift card holder inside.

The one on the left was for my son's teacher and the one on the right was for my daughter's teacher.

Here is a close up of the Thank You Card I made.  I used the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch to punch the shape to put around the 3" circle.

Here is the inside of the card with the gift card holder.  I used the now retired slit punch.
Supplies Used For This Project:

Paper:  Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White, Brights DSP Stack (Real Red)

Ink:  Black Staz On, Crumb Cake Marker, Melon Mambo Marker, Real Red Marker, Island Indigo Marker, Basic Gray Marker, Soft Suede Marker

Accessories:  Big Shot Machine, 3" Circle Die, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, Modern Label Punch, Snail Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals

Stamp Sets:  Greeting Card Kids Stamp Set and Curly Cute Stamp Set

Anyway, so with this post, I want to share with you my latest UStamp Big Shot Brilliance project that went live 2 days ago.  I think it's my favorite project so far.  It was so much fun to do.

Sorry For My Extended Absence!

I'm sorry for my extended absence.  After the huge earthquake here in Japan, everything had been crazy!  Life is more stressful and full of uncertainty.

My family and I are safe right now and are still staying here at Yokota Air Base in Tokyo.  I will try my best to update as soon as I can.
